The very mention of the word music brings to mind thoughts of people that create the same i.e. the musicians. Although the century has witnessed a lot of musicians of varied genres, very few have managed to create a place for themselves in the mind and hearts of the audience. Nevertheless, there are a few musicians who’ve succeeded in making an exemplary mark and still continue to rule the charts and hearts of countless.

When it comes to music monarchs, the first name that certainly pops up is none other than Elvis Presley.  This king of Rock continues to rock on, even after leaving the music industry and has several fans worldwide, even today. In his life-time and after, Elvis has been able to sell over 1.1 billion album copies around the world. And the number is still growing as we speak. Elvis has many musical achievements to his name, including being the king of pop. He is also credited with having added tempo and beat to classic jazz and country music.

Even today, it isn’t tricky to find young people smoking cigarettes and head banging to music by The Beatles. The Beatles have always been one of the preferred and influential rock bands. The band has Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and John Lennon as its members. Starting from Liverpool, these young boys took over the whole global music scene within no time at all. The Beatles are assumed to be one of the highest earning musicians of all times.

Another name adding to the list of prominent musicians is Michael Jackson.  Even after his death, he continues to have a massive fan following all around the world in terms of a lot of fan clubs he has and the way his fans continue to idol worship him till date. No wonder he was labelled as ‘king of pop’. He made an indelible mark in the hearts of millions through both his singles and the record breaking albums. The lethal combination of faultless dance movements and amazing singing talent, made him well-known in every household.

Last but not the least, Led Zeppelin is another well-liked name that has made to the list of well-known musicians of all times. He is well-known to have taken the entire music world and its fans by storm by introducing the new and unique trend of modern day rock music. He’s got a paramount role to play in ushering in the concept of hard rock music and popularizing the same. He had almost 350 million copies to his credit. It comes as no surprise that he is given the tag of ‘Beatles of the decade’.

Naturally, there are other musicians who make it to the ‘all time’ class. But, the ones mentioned above will always hold a strong edge simply because of their talent that held no match.
