Tiger Woods Faces Amen Corner And The Masters 2010

Writer Herbert Warren Wind invented the name Amen Corner based on the way Arnold Palmer played at the Masters in 1958. He took the words after being inspired by the jazz song Shouting at Amen’s Corner. As reported at About.com, “Wind gave the moniker “Amen Corner” to holes 11, 12 and 13 because of the seemingly miraculous way in which Palmer played those holes on the final day.”

Can Tiger Woods win at the Masters, set for April 8-11? Can he shine at holes 11, 12 and 13, known famously as Amen Corner? In short, can he make the cut? Tiger Woods has won the Masters four times. However, he has been plagued with injuries, and he’s rusty. Being absent because of his admitted adultery and rehab doesn’t help his golf game. However, the Masters is a controlled environment when it comes to the media and fans. It’s a comfortable place for Woods to compete. Everybody has to be on their best behavior. If Tiger Woods is going to win the Masters and shine at Amen Corner, he’ll be able to do it without hecklers and other distractions. As Tiger Woods deals with the aftermath of his infidelity, his wife Elin Nordegren will not be present at the Masters to support her husband.

The Masters 2010 begins with practice rounds before the actual competition begins. The winner of the Masters receives a green jacket and a large monetary award. The first golfer to win a green jacket was Sam Snead in 1949.

What are nice jazz clubs in Paris? I will be there this Sunday Oct 17 thru Wed Oct 20th. Does anyone know any artists playing during this time? or just a cool jazz club?
